DESCRIPTION:Starts Saturday\, October 23rd\n8 Saturdays\, 10 am to 1 pm \nTopics to be covered \n\nMonoprinting/Monotype\nIntaglio process (drypoint).\nCollagraphy – includes intaglio and relief ways of printing.\nImage transfer\n\nClick here for more information and registration. \nIntroduction to Printmaking Class Outline \nWeek 1: Introduction and overview of printmaking techniques that will be taught in class. Demo on different ways of making monoprints and montypes with the use of oil pastels\, water base crayons\, inks\, stencils\, and image transfer. \nWeek 2: Begin printing \nWeek 3: Continue printing \nWeek 4: Introduction to intaglio process\, drypoint. Demo on how to engrave into an acrylic plate by using a variety of tools including etching scribe\, electric engraver\, dremel\, and wood burner. \nWeek 5: Continue working on drypoint plate. Begin printing plate. \nWeek 6: Finish printing drypoint plate. Short introduction on collagraphy and materials needed to make a collagraph plate. \nWeek 7: Work on collagraph plate in class. Demo on ways of printing collagraph plate. \nWeek 8: Print collagraph plate. COVID-19 safety protocols (mask wearing & contact tracing) will be enforced on-site. \n  \nJoin Artist-Teacher Jayn Ghormley\, and create art inspired by the outdoors! In our October workshop\, Ms. G will lead children through an exploration of Fall vegetables\, using pumpkins and squash as inspiration for attendees to create their own artwork. \nFree event! Art supplies provided. Ages 5-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
