There is also a non-competitive section where visitors build kits representing famous US Naval Ships. \nIs this for all ages?\nYes\, all ages and abilities are welcome \nDo I have to sign up in advance?\nNo registration is required \nIs there an admission charge?\nNo\, the contest and admission to the museum are both free on April 26. \nWhat if more than one person works on the same model?\nIf more than one person works on the same model\, the model will be judged in the category matching the age of the OLDEST builder. \nDo I have to be present to win a prize?\nNo\, the prizes (gift cards) will be mailed to the winners.  \nWhat happens to the completed models?\nThe completed models remain the property of the museum.  Eventually\, they will be taken apart so the bricks can be used again next year.

DESCRIPTION:Yes We Peli-CAN! \nOur annual 5K is back to raise critical funds to support second chances for waterbirds in need.\nJoin International Bird Rescue for our 8th annual Yes We PeliCAN! Virtual 5K Run/Walk. Whether you’re in California or across the globe\, Bird Rescue supporters everywhere are invited to take part in this fun\, active event! \nHow it Works\nFrom now until Race Week (September 1–7\, 2025)\, participants are encouraged to fundraise and spread the word\, then complete their 5K during Race Week in any way they choose: walking\, jogging\, biking\, rowing\, or even while birding\, all in support of International Bird Rescue’s lifesaving work. \nLast year\, we had 88 participants across 14 states and 2 countries – let’s top that in 2025! \nClick here to sign up.
