Pets are not allowed inside our galleries or classrooms. \nJoin us for our first public program of 2025 – \nJanuary ‘s Family Art Workshop with Artist-Teacher Clarisse Abelarde ! \nFamily Tapestry: Painting Our Story Through Colors & Symbols \nCelebrate your family’s unique story with a vibrant\, collaborative masterpiece! In this workshop\, families will combine meaningful symbols and colors to create an abstract family portrait that tells a visual tale of their memories\, values \, and connections . Through painting\, personal symbols \, and shared creative expression \, families will craft a colorful canvas that honors their bonds and celebrates their individuality. \nMeet your teacher in Building A’s Gallery and we will walk over to our classroom in Building G. \nAll materials are provided. DESCRIPTION:Vibraphonist/Marimbist\, composer & arranger Nick Mancini returns to Alva’s Showroom with his group THR3 on Saturday\, January 17th. He’ll be joined by Ahmet Turkmenoglu on bass & Steve Hass on drums. Nick has shared the stage and collaborated with an array of musical luminaries\, from Arturo Sandoval to Kamasi Washington. His performances have graced legendary venues in both New York and LA\, with festival & club appearances spanning the globe from Scandinavia to Australia. Nick boasts an ever-growing catalog of independently released recordings under his own name and is also the Coordinator of Jazz Studies at the University of Tulsa. 8:00PM show / 7:30PM doors All ages welcome / Plenty of free street parking / Guests may bring food & non-alcoholic drinks.
