SUMMARY:Port of Los Angeles to Host Virtual Clean Truck Program Update
DESCRIPTION:The Port of Los Angeles (POLA) will host a Clean Truck Program 2021 Concession Agreement Update on Wednesday\, March 17\, at 9 a.m. via Zoom. POLA currently has concession agreements with approximately 1\,100 Licensed Motor Carriers (LMCs)\, which must be replaced before they expire on September 30\, 2021. \nPOLA Environmental Management staff plans to provide program background and information about the process for developing the next POLA Concession Agreement prior to the current concessions’ expiration date of September 30. The meeting will include an open discussion and an opportunity to ask questions. \nThose interested in attending should register here. Alternatively\, attendees can call into the meeting at 888-475-4499\, using the Meeting ID 979 6114 9333 and passcode 556860. \nA central element of the Clean Truck Program\, the POLA Concession Program establishes a contractual relationship between the Port of Los Angeles and LMCs operating at its terminals. All LMCs making regular calls at POLA container terminals are required to have a pending or approved POLA concession agreement. The Port of Long Beach (POLB) has a separately administered motor carrier registration program. \nEstablished in 2008 as part of the San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Air Action Plan\, the Clean Truck Program has reduced air pollution from harbor trucks by more than 90%. Click here for more information about the program. \nThe Port of Los Angeles remains open with all terminals operational during the COVID-19 pandemic. North America’s leading seaport by container volume and cargo value\, the Port of Los Angeles facilitated $276 billion in trade during 2019. San Pedro Bay port complex operations and commerce facilitate one in nine jobs across the counties of Los Angeles\, Orange\, Riverside\, San Bernardino and Ventura.

His job of decorative painting got him interested in the history of art and ornament\, an interest that continues today. His decorative work can be found in many houses\, hotels and casinos around the world. His personal art has centered around the world he lives in\, though the accident that almost took his life 5 years ago made him look quite a bit at his mortality. His last show was at the SoLA gallery in 2019. He is currently working on a painting that he started in 1982. \nIlan Davidson – Cantor Ilan Davidson has served Temple Beth El since 1995\, celebrating his Silver Anniversary in 2020. A Los Angeles native\, he has a strong performing arts background from the University of California\, and also is talented secular musician and contemporary Jewish singer and songwriter. He released his first album\, Stained Glass\, in 1995. \nCantor Davidson is a consummate artist and a devoted social activist. He has given concerts in Israel as well as throughout the United States. Performing sacred as well as secular music\, from Bimah to Broadway. His irreverence\, humor – who else would create a temple house band called The Moody Jews? He shows the community and the world how beautiful music warms hearts\, stirs souls\, and heals. In 2017 Cantor Davidson was appointed Vice President of the Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations by Supervisor Janice Hahn and\, is a past president of the South Coast Interfaith Council.
