SUMMARY:PureBread Tribute-Alvas Showroom
DESCRIPTION:PureBread\, Tribute to David Gates and Bread\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBread rose to popularity in 1970 with their first number one hit single “Make it With You” which was followed up with no less than 12 top 40 singles making them one of the most prolific commercial bands of our time. \nDriven by his deep love and admiration for the music of Bread\, and in particular David Gates\, band leader Ray Koukal was lead to put together a band of stellar musicians to help him pay tribute to this group in early 2021 and they’ve been working very hard to present this music to you in a very heartfelt and respectful way. \nWhen you hear PureBread’s immaculate renderings of songs like “It Don’t Matter to Me”\, “Diary”\, “Everything I Own”\, “Lost Without Your Love”\, “Baby\, I’m-a Want You”\, “The Guitar Man”\, “Sweet Surrender”\, “If”\, “Aubrey”\, and “Make it With You” among others\, you will be reminded of just how impactful Bread was in the emergence of soft rock as well as the mark that they made on pop music in general. \nGenres:\nPop\, Soft Rock \nPerformer Names/Instruments:\nRay Koukal – Lead Vocals and Guitar.\nDave Stretch – Lead Vocals and Guitar.\nDan Avants – Back Ground Vocals and Keyboards.\nJim Wooten – BGV and Bass.\nJohnny Zimmerman – Drums and Percussion.

SUMMARY:19th Many Winters Gathering of Elders-Angels Gate Cultural Center
DESCRIPTION:19th Many Winters Gathering of Elders \nThe MWGOE is a four-day gathering where Native/Indigenous Elders and knowledge-keepers from across the country gather to share teachings through oral tradition with the community. The Gathering also hosts various Native ceremonies that take place throughout the four days. The event is free\, family-friendly\, open to the public\, and held in partnership with AGCC. \nElders from local tribes including Gabrielino Shoshone\, Gabrielino Tongva\, Acjachemen\, Fernandeño Tataviam\, Chumash\, and other California tribes have attended in the past and will join this October. Tribal elders from other regions (Arizona\, Minnesota\, Nevada\, New Mexico\, New York\, North Carolina\, Oklahoma\, South Dakota and others) are expected\, as well. The Gathering takes place under an arbor which serves as the traditional place of teaching and learning – where Elders pass on knowledge to the younger generation\, and is part of intergenerational healing from historical trauma. \nFull press release coming soon. Click here to learn more. \nDuring the Many Winters Gathering of Elders\, no alcohol\, drugs\, cameras\, pictures\, video or other recording equipment are allowed; the MWGOE Organizing Committee requests that attendees respect and observe ceremonial protocol\, including no pets. Traditional ceremony attire is observed – long skirt (feminine identifying)\, pants (masculine identifying)\, however it is not mandatory\, and we observe and support our LGBTQ2S relatives’ gender or nonbinary expression\, including attire. \nThe 2025 MWGOE Logo Art\, ‘Eyooshuun / ‘Eyoohiinkem (Our Heart / Our Relatives)\, was created by artist Jamie Rocha of the Gabrielino-Shoshone Nation. \nSchedule
