SUMMARY:José Antonio Rodríguez Trio
DESCRIPTION:One of Spain’s leading flamenco guitarists\, Córdoba’s award-winning José Antonio Rodríguez. A remarkable guitarist acclaimed for his powerful and evocative renditions of contemporary flamenco. He has composed music for orchestras and dance companies\, participated in major projects with Paco de Lucía and Alejandro Sanz\, and appeared in Carlos Saura’s Flamenco. His most recent album “El Guitarrista Azul” is a magnificent collection of beautiful pieces written for guitar and orchestra inspired by Picasso’s blue period. It is available now on all digital platforms. \n“José Antonio Rodríguez could very well be the finest flamenco guitar player on the planet. He recently moved to Los Angeles from Spain and he is taking the flamenco world by storm. His first solo performance at Alvas was met with critical acclaim. In the audience was the “who’s who” of the flamenco world with many great guitarists\, producers\, and guitar makers. It is not hard to determine one’s greatness by who follows them. His passion with soft\, beautiful melodic passages and intense explosions of flamenco fire are unmatched. Many revere Paco de Lucía as one of the greats. When Paco died\, his place in a trio was taken by José Antonio Rodríguez. You will never forget this concert as one of the best you have ever attended.” Matt Lincir\, Owner\, Alvas Showroom
