His performance skills and instrumental virtuosity are indescribable. Brunel has released 15 albums in his career\, ranging from his first album TOUCH to his latest album BASS BALL\, where both he and Stanley Clarke produced and performed on the historical CD that features renown bass players in the US and France. In his early 20s\, while playing at the world-famous Ronnie Scott’s Club in London with Tania Maria\, Yes/Moody Blues keyboardist Patrick Moraz introduced Bunny to fusion keyboardist Chick Corea. A few months after Chick heard Bunny play\, he hired him to record on his album SECRET AGENT (Brunel’s first Grammy nomination). Bunny played with Chick Corea for almost nine years and has since been in bands with Tony Williams\, Larry Coryell\, Alfonse Mouzon; and Brian Auger\, Patrice Rushen\, and Dennis Chambers. \n

Join us for a fun and casual midweek feast for both our taste buds and the writer within us. May is Mental Health Awareness month\, so we will take extra care to honor our mental and emotional well-being. We come together in a community of care to invite pleasure and celebrate the self.\nThis edition of Midweek Feast is sponsored by We Rise\, an initiative of Los Angeles County\, and done in partnership with the Arts Council for Long Beach through the Bridging Wellness project. \nHow It Will Work:\nThis workshop is free to attend. You will need to sign up for a free Zoom account ahead of time. \nParticipants who register will receive the recipe ahead of time so they may shop for the ingredients in advance of the workshop if they wish. (NOTE: You do not need to cook in real-time with us\, but you can if you want\, it is up to you.)\nThen\, on the day of the workshop\, our facilitator will read the poem associated with the recipe and lead us in a casual at-home cooking demonstration and discussion via Zoom. Next\, she will give a writing prompt based on the recipe and poem\, and we will have time to write.\nThis is an all-levels cooking and writing class so no experience necessary! Just come to have a good time and hang out with some good food and poetry camaraderie. DESCRIPTION:American Merchant Marine Veterans Memorial \nOn every 22nd of May at 11am there is a National Maritime Day Observance and Memorial Service\, honoring the American Merchant Marine Veterans who bravely served their country. Located at the foot of West 6th Street\, San Pedro\,  California 90731.\nLuncheon will follow at the Double Tree Hotel.\nAs tradition\, the service will consist of a few speakers\, Memorial Service\, and Blessing of the Wreaths. Once again\, the Committee recommends Massey’s House of Flowers on Western Ave\, in Lomita.\nThere is a new parking lot located next to the Memorial.
