Take a stroll around Wilmington Waterfront Promenade\, where guided tours will explain how the Port transformed a previously inaccessible area into a sustainable and connected park through green engineering and drought-resistant gardens. Earth Day guests will also enjoy international dances and entertainment\, including a live Earth Day-themed art project. Free\, fun\, and eco-friendly arts & crafts projects will be on hand for all ages.  A limited supply of free fruit trees will be available for LA City Residents\, along with free mulch and compost for all attendees. Delicious local foods and snacks will be available for purchase. Well-behaved\, leashed dogs are welcome. Don’t forget to bring your refillable water bottle to stay hydrated. \nThis expansive celebration picks up the mantle of the annual Earth Day Chalk Fest\, an event hosted by the Port at Wilmington Waterfront Park for nearly two decades. SUMMARY:Music Student Community Performance-Grand Annex
DESCRIPTION:A recorder performance by local fifth graders – for the community! \nGrand Vision Foundation’s Meet the Music students from local partner schools will show off what they have been learning all semester. Grand Vision’s Recorders in Schools program provides trained teaching artists to classrooms to lead weekly music classes during the school day. Students learn to play an instrument\, read music and perform. This program also incorporates music into history\, culture and math! \nThis performance is free and open to all\, no tickets or RSVP required.
