SUMMARY:2023 LEGO SHIPBUILDING CONTEST
DESCRIPTION:The Lego Shipbuilding Contest is Saturday\, April 15\, 2023 from 10am to 2pm. \nHow does this work? \nBuilders of all ages will have the opportunity to build a ship using Lego supplied by the museum.  Prizes will be awarded in the following age group categories:  3-5 years\, 6-8 years\, 9-13 years\, and 14 and over. \nCan I bring my own Legos from home? \nNO. \nCan I make a ship at home and bring it to the museum? \nSorry\, there is no home-build category this year. Home-built ships will not be accepted nor can the museum store or display them. \nHow much does it cost? \nThe contest and museum admission are both FREE. \nCan I take my model ship home? \nNo\, all ships and Lego are the property of the museum. \nDo I have to register in advance? \nNo\, you may drop in any time after 10am.   Entries cannot be accepted after 2pm\, so your ship must be finished by 2pm. \nCan more than one person work on the same ship? \nYes\, but the ship will be judged according to the age category of the oldest builder. \nDo I have to be present in order to claim a prize? \nNo. If you are a winner\, the museum will contact you and arrange to mail your prize. \nWhat about parking? \nYou can find parking and directions here  https://www.lamaritimemuseum.org/visit/hours-directions/ \nWhat if I have more questions? \nSend a message to info@lamaritimemuseum.org and we will get right back to you! \nReasonable accommodations will be made with prior arrangements.\nAll events are subject to cancellation\nThe contest is neither endorsed nor sponsored by the Lego Group.
