LA County Park’s Friendship Park & Nature Center and the Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council invite all community residents to join us in having fun and promoting EcoFest – a FREE EVENT that celebrates Sustainable Living practices & Environmental Awareness.

EcoFest is a festival that celebrates the fall season – promoting conservation of our resources, tree planting, garden preparation and rain water harvesting, having fun while discovering many of the wild creatures that live amongst us in our coastal and inland communities. The event aims to encourage children & adults to explore ways that they can become better stewards of the Earth.

EcoFest will feature LIVE MUSIC by LBU Long Beach Unplugged, a FREE SHADE TREE GIVEAWAY (to residents of the City of Los Angeles), a presentation on how to raise Monarch butterflies at home, a workshop & demonstration on rain-water harvesting and how to set up a rain barrel, face painting, bug and animal discoveries, crafts, games, wildflower seed balls, chalk drawing. Bring a picnic! There are beautiful views of the harbor and Catalina Island.
