It’s 1816 at the Villa Diodati on Lake Geneva, and the scandalous summer menage of the Shelleys; the “mad, bad, and dangerous to know” Byron, and Claire Clairmont are in residence. The Villa is a place where the poets take refuge from the political upheaval of their respective countries, and where they turn creative writing into a collective practice of subversive intent and revolutionary ambition.
