Visiting Angels Gate Cultural Center on Saturday, September 21st from 12 to 4pm is Gas, a mobile, autonomous, experimental and networked platform for contemporary art.
Gas offers an opportunity to rethink why, where and how we view art, whether the encounter happens while surfing the web or driving around Los Angeles, a city defined by its sprawl and car culture. This current exhibition is by Sonja Gerdes.

Artist Sonja Gerdes’ Pie of Trouble. Stays Trouble. Belly on Belly. Let’s Hang. Breathe you infinite. Oxygenenergizer. Animal Creature Plant Breath Soul. The Energy Plan. Amorphous Hypersensibility. Do Ants Breathe? Nova. The Multiple Amorphous Us. Air For Free.(Installation, 2019) is featured in this pop-up mobile exhibition.

On The Brink and Todo en ti fue naufragio
September 21st is also your last chance to catch these two popular exhibitions!
Curator Marcia Moore’s On the Brink, showcases the work of two artists, Angel King and Everett Babcock. Both artists explore the edges of tension, trauma, beauty, and social consciousness.

Todo en ti fue naufragio, which translates to “everything about you was shipwreck,” curated by Jared Baxter, features works by a range of artists that reveal narratives of life and death on the water.

Curator Talk 1pm to 2pm
For the closing party for the current exhibitions from 1pm to 2pm Jared Baxter, curator of Todo en ti fue naufragio, will take visitors through the group exhibition for a more in- depth conversation about the art and the narrative that runs through the show.

The artists featured in this exhibition include:
Sarah Cain, The Distance Plan with Oliver Kellhammer, Greg Lindquist, K. Flint, and Gabriela Salazar, Patricia Fernández, Liz Glynn, Amy Howden-Chapman, Olga Koumoundouros, Karen Lofgren, Matana Roberts.
