Paul Deiss Smith II is a singer/songwriter and guitar player from Long Beach, CA. His voice, acoustic arrangements, and guitar playing have been compared to The Milk Carton Kids, Iron and Wine, and Sam Amidon.
Paul’s acoustic-folk music is deeply intertwined with his Christian spirituality. His 2021 debut full-length album, The Pious Harp for The Weary Soul, ushers in a contemplative stillness and internal quietude. His album, and Grand Annex performance include acoustic guitar and vocal trio, string quartet, and trumpet. Tender in expression but bold in conception, the instrumental arrangements and lyrics reflect Paul’s gentle, yet vibrant personality.
